101 Things in 1001 Days

I started this on January 9, 2010, and… yeah! I’ll be editing this along the way in order to keep track of my progress. You can find the fancy version (complete with notes and everything!) over here. Wish me luck!

  1. Go on a road trip
  2. Complete a jigsaw puzzle
  3. Go camping for a weekend
  4. Go to five concerts
  5. Learn how to play the guitar
  6. Try being a ovo-lacto-vegetarian for at least one week
  7. Keep a (handwritten) poetry journal
  8. Complete my AA and begin my BA studies
  9. Watch all of the movies on the AFI’s lists
  10. Sew ten pieces of clothing for myself
  11. Catalog every piece of media in the house
  12. Paint every room in the house
  13. Save enough money to open a savings account
  14. Lose forty pounds
  15. Make ten plushies to give as gifts
  16. Enroll in a cooking class
  17. Read every single book that I own
  18. Take a photo every day for one month
  19. Make and send Christmas/holiday cards to everyone I know
  20. Write a letter to my grandmother once a month
  21. Start a compost pile/bin and reduce waste
  22. Organize the spare room and turn it into a home office
  23. Throw one party at my house
  24. Refrain from eating out for two weeks
  25. Test my blood sugar
  26. Try out geocaching
  27. Plant something and keep it alive for an entire season
  28. Regularly post on a blog (one post per week minimum)
  29. Buy a swimsuit and wear it in public
  30. Start collecting something
  31. Participate in a 5K run/walk
  32. Abstain from buying coffee from a coffeeshop or coffee stand for one month
  33. Amass over 40 volunteer hours at the elementary school
  34. Sort and give away all of our clothes that do not fit or are unworn
  35. Donate money, goods or services to a charity
  36. Learn a computer language
  37. Learn fifty words in Tagalog or Kapampangan
  38. Write, design and mail out a ‘zine
  39. Have something published in a magazine or high-profile website
  40. Organize the house and keep it clean on a regular basis
  41. Go to a nerd convention
  42. Sing in front of someone
  43. Participate in a pub quiz
  44. Finally get that tattoo I’ve been wanting for years
  45. Watch a story arc of classic Doctor Who
  46. Play through a Dungeons and Dragons campaign
  47. Go on a day hike

  49. Wake up at 6am every day for a week
  50. Go to twelve museums and/or art galleries in the span of a year
  51. Go whale watching at the San Juan Islands

  55. Watch an entire series of anime (minimum: 20 episodes)
  56. Invest in a bread machine and make three loaves of bread
  57. Drive a stick shift to the store and back
  58. Buy a bicycle and use it to commute
  59. Pack lunches for everyone in the house every weekday for two weeks
  60. Watch every movie that was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture before I was born
  61. Go seal watching at the Oregon Coast
  62. Decorate the inside and the outside of the house for the holidays
  63. Learn how to prepare a turkey
  64. Prepare five traditional Filipino dishes

  88. Work out for 20 minutes a day for an entire month without missing more than three days
  89. Audition for Wheel of Fortune when it comes to town
  90. Go on three trips around the country by myself
  91. See five notable American landmarks
  92. Buy/rent a cello and a violin and begin playing regularly again
  93. Fly in a small aircraft
  94. Become happy with what I see when I look in the mirror
  95. Finish a week of New York Times crossword puzzles (Monday – Sunday)
  96. Buy/create ten pieces of art and frame them for the house
  97. Make an arrangement/score for a popular song
  98. Film and edit a short video
  99. Get a part-time job which is fulfilling
